My Role

  • Analyzed user journey and laid out the UX process

  • Researched the competitors and trends

  • Formed the prototypes for testing by creating user interface elements and info. architecture

Context

People always admire and wish to follow the trends of their favorite personalities and vloggers. After searching on E-commerce websites, a variety of similar products get listed and it becomes difficult to find the exact brand and attire. Traditional shopping sites focus more on discounts and pricing and people end up buying the clothes which give them better sales than the ones they actually liked on their influencer.

Traditional shopping

Multiple options/ confusion/ more use of time

It's a common thing to post pictures over social media in your best attire. But the only outcome is likes and comments. Liking and saving the picture doesn't track the origin of the clothes the person wears.

The focus was to make those people interested in clothes and fashion have a dedicated space to follow their influencers and post pictures with more importance.

Process

Discover-Define-Develop-Deliver

Followed a user-centric approach to investigate how fashion followers may want to recreate their experience based on their preferences. Researched the trends and applications where we follow personalities and identified different hooks. Based on the findings, we iterated and made prototypes to test our ideas.

Research

Comparative analysis of competitors-

After studying some trending features of dating apps like the swipe function, we tried to include that in our app.

Persona

Post conducting 5 interviews with people, a suitable persona was formed-

Age: 22 years
Hobby: Making a personal collection of trendy jackets
Regular Habit: Trying to keep an update of jackets worn by filmstars on Instagram

Story:

As a fun outgoing GenZ girl who loves to follow her favorite film stars and vloggers, she regularly uploads her own collection on social media apps to expand her network. She wants a place to identify the fashion brands and keep a separate collection of those, without mixing with the rest of the stuff she feels as distractions.

Flow Diagrams

Being an MVP stage, 3 main flows were designed thoroughly-

Visual Direction

We tried with bold-stylish, clean-modern and pastel-warm visual styles in our iterations. The one selected was an Indian pastel-warm variant which had an earthy and soft personality.
